Privacy Policy for Things You Can Say®

Last updated: September 13, 2026

Things You Can Say LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes Things You Can Say®, including the physical party card game, our website at thingsyoucansay.com, and our digital card game apps for Android and Apple (iOS). This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used across those products.

The digital apps and game content are intended for users 17 and older.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  1. The physical Things You Can Say® card game (retail, wholesale, and online sales of the physical product).
  2. Our website, thingsyoucansay.com, and related online storefront pages we operate.
  3. The Things You Can Say® Android app (Google Play).
  4. The Things You Can Say® Apple (iOS) app when it is available on the App Store.

Third-party marketplaces (for example Amazon or other retailers) and payment processors have their own privacy policies. When you buy through them, their terms also apply.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not require a Things You Can Say® account to play the digital table game.
  • Spoken answers at your table stay at your table. Our apps are not designed to upload those spoken answers.
  • We do not operate in-app chat, a social feed, or public user posting inside the digital games.
  1. Physical card game

The physical cards themselves do not collect personal data.

If you buy the physical game from us on thingsyoucansay.com, see the Website section below for order and shipping information.

If you buy from Amazon, a retailer, or another seller, that seller and its payment provider handle customer and payment data under their policies. We may receive limited order or wholesale information needed to fulfill or support those sales (for example shipping details for orders we ship, or business contact details for wholesale accounts).

  1. Website (thingsyoucansay.com)

Our site is used to learn about Things You Can Say® and to purchase products online.

When you browse or buy on the site, we and our store platform (Shopify) may process information such as:

  • Contact and shipping details you provide at checkout (name, email, address, phone)
  • Order and payment status (payment card details are handled by Shopify and its payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our own servers)
  • Device and usage data typical of a website (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, cookies or similar technologies for the cart, security, and site performance)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect checkout or site features.

Marketing emails: if you opt in, we may email you about Things You Can Say®. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails.

  1. Digital card game apps (Android and Apple)

The Android app is available through Google Play. An Apple (iOS) App Store version, when released, is intended to follow the same privacy practices described here, using Apple's In-App Purchase system instead of Google Play Billing where purchases apply.

3a. No TYCS login

You can play without creating a Things You Can Say® account. We do not ask inside the game for your name, email, address, or phone number as a condition of play.

3b. In-app purchases

Optional unlocks (for example Full Game and Expansion Packs) are sold as in-app purchases.

  • On Android, Google Play Billing processes payment. Google is the merchant of record for those purchases.
  • On Apple, Apple In-App Purchase processes payment when the iOS app is live. Apple is the merchant of record for those purchases.

The app receives purchase and entitlement information from the platform so unlocks can be restored on your device. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Use Restore Purchases in the app to refresh entitlements on a device.

3c. Advertising

On the free digital version, the app may show ads through Google AdMob (or the same ad family on Apple when ads are enabled there). That can involve device advertising identifiers and related ad-serving data shared with Google for advertising. Where required, we use a consent flow (such as Google's User Messaging Platform) before ad requests. Unlocking Full Game is designed to remove ads.

Internal or test builds may use Google sample ad configuration. Production ad identifiers are used only when we authorize a production ads release.

3d. First-party product events (on device)

The apps may record simple product events locally on your device (for example app start, deals, card swaps, purchases, restore, and ad-related events) for debugging and product improvement. In the current Android build, those first-party events do not leave your device through a separate analytics SDK. Platform ad and billing SDKs may still send their own data to Google or Apple as described by those companies.

3e. Local game state

The apps store game preferences and purchase entitlements locally on your device (for example which packs you own and Mix My Decks settings).

3f. Permissions and sensors

In-app sound controls play local audio. The apps are not designed to capture microphone audio for upload to us, or to access your contacts, photos, or precise location for our own servers.

  1. Children

Things You Can Say® contains adult language and adult situations. Digital apps are rated for users 17 and older and are not directed to children under 13. The physical game is likewise intended as an adult party game.

  1. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Fulfill orders and provide customer support
  • Operate and secure the website and apps
  • Process digital entitlements and restore purchases
  • Show ads on free digital versions (where applicable)
  • Improve products and fix issues
  • Meet legal and accounting obligations
  1. Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run the business, such as:

  • Shopify and payment providers (website checkout)
  • Google (Play Billing, AdMob, related Google services on Android and, where used, ads)
  • Apple (App Store and In-App Purchase on iOS, when live)
  • Shipping carriers and wholesale or retail partners when needed to deliver physical products
  • Professional advisors when required (for example accounting or legal)

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

  1. Retention

We keep order and business records as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal requirements. Local app data remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall. Platform purchase history is retained by Google or Apple under their policies.

  1. Your choices
  • Website: update or request help with an order by contacting us; manage cookies in your browser; unsubscribe from marketing emails via the email footer.
  • Apps: limit ad tracking in device and platform settings; use Restore Purchases; clear local app data by uninstalling or clearing app storage.
  • Because the digital games have no TYCS user account, there is no separate TYCS profile to delete on our servers. For Google or Apple advertising and account controls, use those companies' tools.
  • California and other regions may provide additional rights to know, delete, or opt out of certain sharing. To make a request, email us at the contact below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
  1. Security

We use service providers that protect data in transit with encryption (HTTPS) for website and platform communications. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

  1. International visitors

We are based in the United States. If you access our site or apps from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
